Didi is very emotional about the bad news that Simon Cowell told her. Tim Urban and Katie Stevens was with her in the Bottom 3 in the R&B/Soul performances of the American Idol Top 10.

Didi Benami chose to sing "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac to convince the judges to save her but they did not budge after their deliberations. Didi is going home and it was a tearful goodbye for her.

Next week, the American Idol 2010 Top 9 will sing songs from The Beatles. That will be very interesting.

Randy didn't observe any good "moment" while she's singing - it was all flat line. Ellen did not like it either - she says its "way too dramatic". Kara is also now confused about what Didi now as artist. Simon thinks the performance is so over-the-top and Didi has lost her way. The most notable performances last night were Crystal Bowersox Bobby Mcgee, Siobhan Magnus Superstition and Katie Stevens Big Girls Don't Cry. I also personally liked Aaron Kelly I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing and Didi Benami You're No Good.

When there are good performances, the bad ones are not far behind. Paige Miles Against All Odds and Tim Urban Crazy Little Thing Called Love were cringe-worthy for the judges. Andrew Garcia is going and going gone if he doesn't come up with an amazing performance. All three of them are sure-fire shoo-ins for the American Idol Top 11 Bottom Three. However, Dial Idol is telling us that Lee Dewyze might be in the list tonight, which is kind of sad because he's got a lot of potential. So for me, my prediction is that the one who'll go home is a toss between Paige Miles or Tim Urban. Lacey Brown from Amarillo Texas was voted off American Idol Top 12 tonight March 17 2010. Along with Lacey in the Bottom 3 tonight were Tim Urban and Paige Miles. Although the judges had the power to save her, they decided to pass. Lacey sang "Love Story" to convince the judges to save her.

During Lacey Brown's final performance, it was apparent that she's having a bad time. Her voice was a bit shaky that may have cemented the judges to decide not to save her.

Most notable performances were Siobhan Magnus Paint It Black, Crystal Bowersox You Can't Always Get What You Want and Lee Dewyze “Beast of Burden”. Most of them were quite verging on choosing "safe" songs rather than expanding their vocal performance. So, who is going home tonight in American Idol Top 12?

According Dial Idol, they predict that it's Andrew Garcia who will be kicked off in American Idol tonight. Although Dial Idol is not quite sure about their choice, I think it will be a toss between Andrew, Paige Miles or Lacey Brown. Even Aaron Kelly might be in danger of being booted out of American Idol Top 12. However, Randy felt that it wasn't her best performance but he loved it anyway. Ellen Degeneres says that she's now seeing her personality now. Kara said that tonight she saw that Crystal is now comfortable on stage. Simon Cowell came out tonight as the 100 percent the favorite. He thought that Crystal was clearly beaten by Siobhan Magnus. Siobhan Magnus was a blast with "Paint It Black". I think it was the best performance of the night where almost all of them bored my brains out. It was a good risk but it brought out the best in her.

Ellen loved the way she looked and the Siobhan Magnus sounded her best. Kara was reminded of Adam Lambert last year - with the drama and stairs. The National Enquirer released quite a juicy rumor today that Jeremy Renner is not quite a 'straight' man because everybody close to the actor knows he's not closeted. Yet, the 39 year old actor prefers to remain mum about the subject of his sexual preference out of Hollywood press' radar.

However, a seemed-to-be harmless LA Times classified ad gave validation to the tabloid's contention. The ad proudly declared that:

Actors Jeremy Renner, who played the leader of an explosives disposal unit in the critically acclaimed film "The Hurt Locker," and co-investor Kristoffer Winters found a buyer for their restored 1924 Greek Revival in the Hollywood Hills area after five months on the market.

If you didn't know, Kristoffer Winters is an actor too who appeared in TV series like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and he has a minor role in The Hurt Locker too! Whoa! What do you think of two Hollywood actors in their mid-30s doing more than selling a house together as “co-investors”? Your guess might be good as mine. Looks like National Enquirer got a good scoop this time. For Jeremy, there's nothing wrong being gay so there's not much damage on his rising career.

Tim Urban, the Chris Golightly replacement in American Idol 2010 Top 24, chose to sing OneRepublic's "Apologize". I think it was a train wreck... bad falsettos and forgotten lyrics. Simon Cowell could not even hide his frustration as he said that making him go home (after the first 24 contestants with Chris) were chosen was right.

All other judges agreed with Simon. Ellen DeGeneres said that "none of it worked” and she said that Tim "couldn’t hit those high notes.” Everyone agreed he’ll get votes because he’s just "cute" and not because he's a good singer. Todrick Hall came out first in the American Idol Top 12 boys. He sang Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone. I could nearly recognize the song because he twisted it that it became too different from the original.

The judges all found the performance good on stage but the vocals just so-so. Simon Cowell even said it was a "crazy arrangement" and Todrick "murdered" the original song. American Idol 9 Top 24 Contestants Photos

Last night, 12 guys and 12 girls are declared to be in the official American Idol 9 Top 24 list. Next week, the Top 12 girls will battle it out first on Wednesday (February 24) in the Kodak Theatre. On Thursday (February 25) will be the Top 12 boys' turn. I think it will all be the same drivel in other American Idol seasons that each week, two guys and two girls will bid farewell until the American Idol 9 Top 12 contestants are chosen.

This year's batch of contestants are an interesting mix. We'll still yet to see if Mike Lynch won't be disqualified, but it seems Tim Urban is here to stay in lieu of Chris Golightly who allegedly had an old contract that's why he was kicked off the final 24 contestants. Chris Golightly Disqualified, Replaced by Tim Urban?

There's quite a discrepancy in the American Idol Top 24 Official list tonight. It seems early favorite Chris Golightly has not been included in the final list of Top 12 boys. He was obviously replaced by Tim Urban, whose footage was just inserted in the last video clip. What's up with that?

We are quite suspicious that it was Chris Golightly who was disqualified and not Big Mike Lynch. Chris Golightly has a video making it to the Top 24 finalists who made it the Hollywood round but he was cut unknowingly (He was in the picture while Ryan Seacrest was making a spiel about the Top 24!). We're still digging the real score about this American Idol 9 Official Top 24 discrepancy. Other than that, we're quite confident about the ones who made it. Cheerio!

UPDATE: Here's the deal with Chris Golightly Disqualified issue:

Ryan Seacrest even confirmed it via a Tweet that it was: "determined that Chris Golightly is ineligible to continue on IDOL, contestant Tim Urban has replaced Golightly as part of the Top 24". He is talking to lawyers, but doubt they can do anything."

Whoa! American Idol has some favoritism going on there with the rules? Nicholas Cage Sued by Ex-Wife Despite Financial Woes

Poor Nicholas Cage! After being bogged down with all of his debts, now his former wife is out to get him even more bankrupt as she's filing a lawsuit against him worth $13 million. Ouch! Nick's ex-wife Christina Fulton, who's the mom of his 18 year old son Weston, reasoned out that she's suing for "mental, physical and emotional abuse" that the Con Air actor had caused her. Weston, who's caught up in between the scuffle of his parents, is reportedly upset about all these events.

In her affidavit Christina Fulton filed on December 8, she informed that Nicholas Cage bought a house in Los Angeles for her and their son. Fulton revealed that the 44 year old actor promised her that he would sign it to her name but failed to do so. This problem was only unveiled to her when she received a 60 day notice to vacate the property. Fulton cries that it was her ex-husband's negligence that she owes the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) over $1 million and her credit card bills went up to $250,000 because he pledged that he would pay that off.

On the other hand, Nicholas Cage's lawyer Martin Singer laughed off the case of his client's ex-wife because it's entirely "ridiculous and absurd". Singer furthered that "Nicolas has given her approximately $3 million every year for many years, even though he was only obligated to pay her $6,000-a-month in child support. We expect this lawsuit to be promptly thrown out."

Caught up in financial woes, Cage owes $6.3 million in back taxes, which has led to him having to sell off many of his assets including properties and yachts. All these financial worries Nicholas Cage blames his former accountant for it for negligence. Yet, his accountant fired back at him by saying that it was Cage's fault because of his uncontrollable and self-destructive spending by buying a dinosaur skull worth $276,000, a Lamborghini that cost him $495,000, two yachts, three castles, several mansions and a personal jet. Whoa! What kind of millionaire wouldn't go bankrupt with all these unnecessary purchases?

Fergie Awed by Co-Stars in 'Nine'

Black Eye Peas' lone female member Fergie is starting a whole new niche in acting for the new film musical Nine. As a novice in the acting department, Fergie can't deny that she's star struck by most of her established co-stars. Most of all, she's "awed" by 75 year old Italian actress Sophia Loren. Fergie exclaimed: "I was in awe of Sophia Loren - I couldn't believe I was in the same room as her!"

The 34 year old singer-turned-actress is playing the role of Saraghina in Nine. Fergie revealed she was struggling to cope with her esteemed co-stars acting-wise. She informed: "Nicole Kidman I'd thought of as a very statuesque figure, but she's very down to earth." How about Dame Judi Dench? Fergie said she cannot help giggling with the award-winning actress because Judi Dench has a wacky sense of humor. In an interview with Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine, Fergie stated that: "I sat next to Dame Judi Dench in the makeup chair and she cracked me up - she's hilarious, and I formed a great friendship with Kate Hudson too. We all got along brilliantly." I guess everybody' excited with everyone in this movie and I guess it will be a shoo-in in next year's Oscars hopefully.

Jackie Chan Praises Jaden Smith in 'The Karate Kid'

Not just contented being Will Smith's son, 11 year old Jaden Smith is carving out a name for himself after snagging the lead role in the updated version of the 1984 cult hit movie The Karate Kid. Yes, he will be taking the role that Ralph Macchio went famous for. And, Jackie Chan will play as his mentor in the film.

The 55 year old veteran martial arts superstar was actually impressed with Jaden's dedication and perseverance during the filming. Jackie revealed the young Smith was an eager student not only on set, but when learning about the entire filmmaking process because "he took the training very seriously.... Jaden had a lot of respect for me as his teacher, even off the set. He is as professional as many adult actors who have been in the business for years." The movie takes place in many locations, including the Great Wall of China, where Jackie and the film's fight coordinator Master Wu had the opportunity to share valuable lessons to Jaden. In his interview in People, Jaden shared that he "trained every day for four months with Master Wu. We did a lot of stretching, and Jackie taught me to ask, 'My left or camera left?' That helped.'"

Jaden Smith changed a lot because of the new learned lessons, according to 'Rush Hour' actor Jackie Chan. He added that Will Smith, Jaden's dad, informed him about the things that changed about Jaden: "When he takes his shoes off, he doesn't throw them in the corner, but puts them away neatly!" Hugh Jackman Takes Lead in Robot Film 'Real Steel'

Leaving behind his Wolverine costume, Hugh Jackman is now all set to portray a pivotal role in an upcoming film salvo Real Steel. The 41 year old Australian actor will play a down-in-his-luck boxing promoter where he encounters a life-changing fate on finding a discarded robot he will train to become a boxing star . The film plot will be based on a short story penned by Richard Matheson.

This will be the first offering of the newly re-organized DreamWorks Pictures, where Steven Spielberg and film impresario Stacy Snider are in collaboration, after the film outfit moved away from Paramount in 2008. Film director Shawn Levy described that Real Steel "is a rousing sports movie about a former boxer who can no longer do the only job he's good at, and one particular robot that may be his return to grace." The budget for this film was pegged at $80 million. DreamWorks is said to be very keen on their maiden project with Hugh Jackman and the production will be kicking off in June 2010.
