Maxime Talbot Leads Penguins to Stanley Cup Final 2009 Victory

Hooray for the Pittsburgh Penguins in notching the 2009 Stanley Cup Final in Game 7 against the Detroit Red Wings, with a score of 2-1 on June 12 Friday! It was the 25 year old Canadian player Maxine Talbot who rallied on the second period to propel the Penguins to 2-0 lead.

With Pittsburgh Penguin star Sidney Crosby unable to participate in the second and thrid periods, the Penguins still managed to pulverize the Detroit Red Wings. The Pittsburgh Penguins are the first team to win. It is the first time since 1971 (done by the Montreal Canadiens) that a team on the road managed to snatch the Stanley Cup.
