Casey James sang "It's Over Now". In his interview, Casey revealed that he grew up in a single parent home.Though he looks healthy now, Casey was a sickly child for the longest time. Music runs in their family and Casey James started early to sing. During his American Idol Top12 March 16 performance, Casey James showcased his raspy voice but he was a little stiff on stage though.
Randy Jackson praised his performance exclaiming that he was back - "the Casey that I love". Kara thought that he was a "rock star" who got the blues and soul. On the contrary, Simon Cowell stated that it was like an audition performance. He advised Casey James to push himself of not just another guy in the middle of the stage.
