Keira Knightley is 'My Fair Lady' Eliza Doolittle

Yes, definitely Keira Knightley is a fair lady. And it's confirmed that she'll be starring in a remake of the movie of 1964 classic My Fair Lady. The 24-year-old British actress is too much excited that she got the part of Eliza Doolittle in the iconic rags-to-riches story originally directed by George Cukor. Keira said she's honored to follow the footsteps of the legendary actresses like Audrey Hepburn and Julie Andrews who were the previous stars who gave life to Eliza Doolittle in film and on stage.

Not only that this project will be special because of Keira, Academy Award winner Emma Thompson is also being tapped as the screenwriter, while James Bond actor Daniel Craig will play as her love interest Higgins. Danny Boyle, who is fresh from his Slumdog Millionaire Oscar win, will be the one to direct. Every aspiring actress might be drooling at Keira Knightley now for snatching this golden opportunity! Keira Knightley Stars in Ad Against Domestic Violence

Keira Knightley might just get her message clear and straight to singer Rihanna through a public service ad (PSA) she made with Atonement director Joe Wright. This PSA is for the benefit of the UK domestic abuse charity Women's Aid and will be aired in movie theaters starting from April 6.

In this two minutes and more video clip, Keira is with an actor who's supposed to be her boyfriend. The ad is quite moving because you can see how Keira falls down on the floor helpless against the kicks and slaps from her boyfriend. In an interview, Keira Knightley informed that she wanted to do this ad because one out of four women suffer this fate at some point in their lives. It is just about time that big celebrities like Keira Knightley should dwell on these women issues so that domestic violence would be permanently curbed in our society. Below is Keira's PSA video:
