Kris Allen & Adam Lambert in Billboard Cover

American Idol 8 top dogs Kris Allen and Adam Lambert makes on the latest Billboard magazine cover. The clincher is that, although the 24 year old American Idol winner seems to be highlighted on the cover, more articles are dedicated to his runner up Adam Lambert. In fact, Adam has a special feature there about the squeeze put upon him to be a role model for gay youth. Or his latest gigs he garnered like his song being featured on the movie 2012, working with Lady Gaga and his planned tour.

In his own interview with Billboard, Kris explains that he will find it "fun to write" songs with fellow singer Adele. Although he's still new in the music business, Kris Allen is bent in making it good in this industry. Anyway, I think it's really fine for Kris that Adam is more showcased in this issue. Kris Allen Sings National Anthem NBA Finals Game 2 (Video)

American Idol 8 Winner Kris Allen emerged unscathed in singing the Star-Spangled Banner" in the NBA Finals Game 2. Wearing an all-black ensemble, Kris appeared calm and collected as he stayed unfazed despite the towering Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers basketeers behind him. As he hit the right high notes of the song, Kris Allen's acapella was met with an appreciative applause from the audience.

Looking at Kris, he is starting to look like a real star as he exuded radiance that was unnoticed while he was still a contestant. I'm sure girls out there might forget that Kris is already married! Anyway, the NBA Finals Game 2 eventually was copped again by the Los Angeles Lakers 101-96. It's 2-0 now in favor of the LA Lakers. Orlando Magic must make it good on Tuesday (June 9) in the NBA Finals Game 3 to diminish the LA Lakers advantage. Watch Kris Allen's Performance Video below:

Adam Lambert, Kris Allen "No Boundaries" - American Idol Finale Round 3

The American Idol Season 8 Winner's Song is co-written by Kara DioGuardi, Cathy Dennis and Mitch Allen. The song wasn't as good as the past winner's songs. For me, it lacks the impact of the other songs like "A Moment Like This" or "I Believe".

Adam Lambert "No Boundaries" Judges' comments:
Randy: I love it.. a little pitchy in some spots!
Kara: I speak in behalf my co-writers.. I'm moved and I'm proud
Paula: I'm very proud.. what you brought was remarkable. I will be a fan forever
Simon: I'm not gonna judge the song.. I'm gonna judge you. You're the best most original contestant!

OMG! I think the Winner's Song fit Kris Allen's voice more than Adam's. Will Adam be robbed of his American Idol seat tomorrow?

American Idol May 19 Song Spoilers - What Will Adam and Kris Sing in the American Idol Finale?

We are already at the brink of American Idol Finale May 19 (5/19/09) and the song spoilers are now out! Tonight, the theme will be as Ryan Seacrest revealed on

Friday’s Larry King Live:

• Round One - The Contestant’s Favorites – Ryan explained that this song  will be chosen from the roster of their Season 8 performances. (Adam - "Mad World", Kris -"Ain't No Sunshine")
• Round Two - Simon Fuller’s Pick – The producers will choose the song. (Adam - "A Change is Gonna Come", Kris - "What's Going On")
• Round Three - The Winner’s Single - There is only one coronation song this year which will be composed by Kara DioGuardi (No Boundaries)

The winner's single is entitled as "No Boundaries", which was revealed in the in this Fox News report:

As I predicted, Adam Lambert will perform "Mad World" again. On the other hand, Kris Allen will be performing “Heartless” or “Falling Slowly”, where Falling Slowly is the most likely being picked. (UPDATE: Kris Allen will be singing "Ain't No Sunshine"). UPDATE: Simon Fuller picks a Sam Cooke original "A Change is Gonna Come" for Adam Lambert and a MArvin Gaye original "What's Going On" for Kris Allen. Carrie Underwood is also set to visit the American Idol stage tonight to perform “Home Sweet Home”. Kris Allen American Idol May12 "Apologize" | Kris Allen "Heartless" American Idol 5-12

Kris Allen did very well in his judges' choice chosen for him by Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson, which is Apologize by OneRepublic. Kara said she chose the song for its “dark beautiful melodic lines.” Kris Allen was also great in the piano upon performing it. On his scond song, Kris Allen got raves for his singing “Heartless” by Kanye West

Also, I observed that Kris Allen had some problems with his falsetto in "Apologize". However, Simon praised it nevertheless. Kudos goes to him on his “Heartless” rendition because he's really now appearing to give Danny and Adam for a run in the Final 2 next week. Kris Allen sang a Donna Summer song "She Works Hard for the Money". American Idol April 21 (4/21/09) Performance. Kara liked the unique arrangement of the song. Simon thought the Kris Allen She Works Hard for the Money version was original -- it was not karaoke and it was a fantastic performance. Randy emphasized that Kris knows who he is. Wow, that was good and looks like Kris Allen won't be Bottom 3 tomorrow!

Kris Allen April 14 "Falling Slowly" American Idol Top 7 Performance

Kris Allen performed "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová from the film Once (2007) in the American Idol April 14 (4/14) Performance. Mixed reactions from the judges. Randy said it was pitchy and the song choice was weird because he selected a lesser known song compared to other finalists. Kara, however, thought it was one of Kris Allen's best performance yet.

Kris Allen April 7 "All She Wants To Do is Dance" American Idol Performance

Kris Allen did Don Henley's "All She Wants To Do is Dance” (04/07/09). It was a jazz-funk homework said Kara, while Simon Cowell said it was "indulgent, boring and forgettable! Ouch, poor Kris Allen.

Overall, Kris Allen's performance tonight "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" was on good-ish but judges agree it was not a good song choice.

Kris Allen - Ain't No Sunshine American Idol 3/31/09 Performance

Kris Allen delivers another good performance just like his roomie Adam Lambert. Hmmm.. Is there something going on between them? Well, let's just hear Kris Allen's version of the Bill Withers original "Ain't No Sunshine” after the jump.

American Idol Group 2 Results: Kris Allen is In!

As expected Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert gained their rightful spot in American Idol 8 Top 12. Another surprise is that Kris Allen (photo above) made it through pushing out early favorites like Jesse Langseth and Matt Giraud.

Kris Allen is from Arkansas and he's said to be multi-talented because he's a saxophonist, composer and educator. He performed Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" yesterday. Wasn't quite good though, which gives me the suspicion that Kris Allen got in in the basis of cuteness.
