Who would ever forget his roles in iconic films such as Dirty Dancing, Ghost and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar? It came as a surprise that Patrick Swayze finally succumbed to his 2 year struggle of overcoming pancreatic cancer. Patrick is 57 years old and he moved on at their Los Angeles home "peacefully... with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months" informed Annett Wolf, Swayze's publicist.
CNN revealed that it was March 2008 when Patrick was diagnosed of cancer. Although his battle with his ailment was difficult, Patrick Swayze finished an action series last January titled "The Beast". In an interview with Barbara Walters recently, Patrick seems ready for whatever repercussions his condition might bestow him: "If I leave this Earth, I want to leave this Earth just knowing I've tried to give something back and tried to do something worthwhile with myself". In May 2009, malicious rumors about Patrick’s death went around and it was then promptly denied by his close friends. Patrick Swayze will forever be remembered for his famous roles as he made millions of people laugh, cry and be mesmerized with his charismatic persona on and off screen.
