Chace Crawford Training Full Throttle for Footloose Role

Chace Crawford is certainly "extremely sore" with all of those intense dance training he's going through in preparation for the role of Ren McCormack in Footloose. Although the actual filming has not started yet, the Gossip Girl hunk wanted to make sure he is fit enough to do all the moves required of the role.

For all his efforts, Footloose director Ken Ortega says he "loves" that Chace is serious for all this. Ortega said:

He's doing dance training and physical training. We have a great teacher working with him there - he wanted it, he loves it.
We have a great script, we have Chace, and an excited studio.
We just did a big scene from the movie, just as a little sizzle, a little test - a place for us to stretch together, he was dancing in it and he's going to be great.

Wow, Chace Crawford is really in it to bring it and prove to everyone that he's just not some Zac Efron replacement. The movie will start shooting in March 2010.

Zac Efron's "17 Again" Edges Out Miley Cyrus' "Hanna Montana" in the US Box Office

Zac Efron unleashes his box office muscle against Miley Cyrus and stopped her movie from dominating the box office for the second week. Zac Efron movie "17 Again" garnered $26 million on its first day. This edged out Miley Cyrus flick "Hannah Montana: The Movie" from the top spot this week with $15 million this week (it had made $32.3 million already last weekend).

The Hollywood Insider feels that, although the film plot of "17 Again" is so overrated -- thanks to Zac Efron his "legions of fan...should make this movie No. 1". So it's necessarily a battle of the tween movies this weekend -- so if you're an adult you should keep away from those theaters unless you'd want to sit beside those giggling Disney fanatics. Anyhow, at number 3 spot is claimed by "Crank: High Voltage" with Jason Statham. You can see the US Box Office List here.

Chace Crawford Fills In Zac Efron's Role in Footloose

Zac Efron's loss might just be Chace Crawford's gain. Yep, this Gossip Girl hunk has allegedly been offered the role emptied by Zac in the upcoming remake of Footloose. According to an E! Online report, Chace have auditioned last week to cop the role originally portrayed by Kevin Bacon and the source happily informed that "he did really well". Oh yeah, Chace can indeed dance and carry a tune! Does that mean he's giving Zac Efron a run for his money when this Footloose remake becomes a success?

Zac Efron backed out of the Paramount-produced Footloose remake Monday last week because the High School Musical heartthrob said he does not want to do another musical for the mean time. I guess if Nate Archibald can score this role, I believe his stellar status would be a thing we should all watch out for in late 2009.

Zac Efron Gets Down and Dirty

Zac Efron seemed to have shook off his wholesome image in a pictorial by Interview Magazine. Not only did Zac got down and had his whole body soiled with mud but  he has also posed with a nekkid Lithuanian model. See more pics after the jump.

Vanessa Hudgens in Scandalous Pilates Workout

Oh well, Vanessa Hudgens is just maintaining her figure because it has been reported that she and Zac Efron are due to be married next year. Gossip-mongers say that Zac already popped the question to Vanessa in Japan last January because Vanessa's mother insisted him on it. Zac and Vanessa has been reported to be living together for awhile and Vanessa's mom is not approved of this idea until both of them are engaged. Well, too bad for you boys, Vanessa is Zac's fag hag... future wife, I mean (according to gossips, that is!).

Zac Efron's Rumored BF?

Some rumor-mongers can't help but suspect the special closeness of High School Musical star Zac Efron and his friend Bubba Lewis are an "item". But really, they're just friends, Zac insists.



Zac and Bubba were seen in an evening birthday party before the Academy Awards at Hard Rock Cafe. Bubba Lewis who's 20 is revealed that both actors co-starred in Miracle Run in 2004 and 17 Again. So it happens that they are just BFF, not BF. Too bad! More pictures here.
