Didi Benami What Becomes of the Broken Hearted American Idol Top 10 March 30
Didi Benami is performing "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted" by Jimmy Ruffin. With Usher, Didi Benami was moved into tears because she got too emotional. The performance was as forgettable, but I can see her effort struggling through the R&B night because she's not that type of singer.
Randy didn't observe any good "moment" while she's singing - it was all flat line. Ellen did not like it either - she says its "way too dramatic". Kara is also now confused about what Didi now as artist. Simon thinks the performance is so over-the-top and Didi has lost her way. Didi Benami You're No Good American Idol Top 11 March 23
Didi Benami jazzes up the stage with "You're No Good" by Linda Ronstandt. It seems Didi is taking a risk taking on with a slightly jazzy song choice. It was kind of pitchy and not her best.
Randy got to observe the pitch problems. Ellen did not get the song choices. Kara agreed that she's someone else tonight. Simon thinks she sounded she is someone else and sucked the "light" out of her. Watch Didi Benami You're No Good American Idol Top 11 March 23 performance:

Didi Benami "Playing With Fire" American Idol Top 12 March 16
Didi Benami is quite confident that she will do well in Rolling Stones night. However, her mom usually is nervous viewing her get carry out her song choices. Singing "Playing With Fire", Didi Benami didn't bring her guitar with her. The rhythm of her song is quite skewed unfavorably, though she ended fine.
Obviously, Didi Benami looks upset with her performance in the American Idol Top 12. Inexplicably, Randy liked her performance by saying it's one of the greatest performances of the night. Ellen noticed that she lost her way but found her way back inside the song. Kara liked how Didi push on her vocals and liked her "intensity". Simon claims that she is beginning to demonstrate us the type of artist she will become. He thought Didi had been going to drop it. Which is what nerves will do to her. Solid, but not a brilliant performance. Watch Didi Benami's performance video of "Playing With Fire" in American Idol Top 12 night:
