Tim Urban Cant Help Falling In Love Top 9 American Idol April 13

It's Tim Urban doing "Can't Help Falling In Love". Adam Lambert surely gave Tim hot tips because he's singing the Elvis song really well. It was current sounding and it was highlighting Tim Urban's tender side.

Didi Benami and Tim Urban in American Idol Bottom 3: Who Will Go Home?

Didi Benami, who sang What Becomes of the Broken Hearted last night, is in the Bottom 3. She's with Tim Urban who had a unsatisfactory Sweet Love performance. Katie Stevens was also in the Bottom 3 but she was adjudged as safe later.

Tim Urban Sweet Love American Idol Top 10 March 30

After a total diss from the judges last week, Tim Urban is singing "Sweet Love" by Anita Baker. For veteran R&B singer Usher, he saw that Tim's problem is connecting with the song. The song was okay and mostly in tune – so no disasters – he will stay for another week.

Randy Jackson is looking for some vibe and some swagger to the song - it sounded too pedestrian. Ellen always thinks he's adorable. Kara Dioguardi took out the soul of the song. Simon thinks it makes no sense what the judges say. Smiling would make him stay for another week. Watch Tim Urban Sweet Love American Idol Top 10 March 30:

Tim Urban and Paige Miles in Bottom 3 - American Idol Top 11 Results March 24

We're right! Tim Urban and Paige Miles are in the Bottom 3 for the American Idol Top 11. Will one of them go home this time? Both Tim and Paige are in the Bottom 3 last week. Maybe, one of them will not be joining the Idol Tour 2010!

Katie Stevens joined them later but called back as Katie is safe!

Tim Urban Crazy Little Thing Called Love American Idol Top 11 March 23

Tim Urban is singing "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen. Miley voiced out that Tim's weakness is that he is seen boring. But it seems this performance is bringing on the audience like a heartthrob.

Randy Jackson thought the song choice was boring and it was like karaoke. Ellen felt that it was an audition for a high school musical. Kara thought Tim acted as if he was a "big star". Simon is not actually taking part in the competition and has no chance in this competition: "Two weeks of silly, silly song choices". Tim Urban "Under My Thumb" American Idol Top 12 March 16

Tim Urban is slowly shedding his image as an American Idol contestant with a cute body and face. I quite liked his performance of "Under My Thumb" with a reggae flavor.

Randy Jackson and Ellen Degeneres did not like his performance. Kara Dioguardi liked the song and how Tim Urban made the song his own. Simon Cowell was not pleased because the Rolling Stones fans might just want to turn off their TV sets hearing him. Watch Tim Urban's performance of Under My Thumb in American Idol Top 12:

Tim Urban American Idol February 24 Apologize

Tim Urban, the Chris Golightly replacement in American Idol 2010 Top 24, chose to sing OneRepublic's "Apologize". I think it was a train wreck... bad falsettos and forgotten lyrics. Simon Cowell could not even hide his frustration as he said that making him go home (after the first 24 contestants with Chris) were chosen was right.

All other judges agreed with Simon. Ellen DeGeneres said that "none of it worked” and she said that Tim "couldn’t hit those high notes.” Everyone agreed he’ll get votes because he’s just "cute" and not because he's a good singer. Tim had an excuse as the song was a last minute switch. Anyway, just look at Tim Urban shirtless photos and you be the judge if you want him in or out.

Tim Urban Shirtless - American Idol Top 24 Hottie

Despite all the brouhaha over Chris Golightly disqualification, we definitely have no complaints Chris was replaced with a hottie Tim Urban. In the Hollywood rounds, he was the one who sang David Cook’s song. Check Tim Urban’s shirtless photos below.

Tim Urban is waaay hotter that Casey James - the guy who's Kara Dioguardi's favorite. Hmmm, with his long hair though, he looks kind of geeky. Check out the Tim Urban shirtless photos with his hair shorter. What do you think?

Chris Golightly Disqualified, Replaced by Tim Urban?

There's quite a discrepancy in the American Idol Top 24 Official list tonight. It seems early favorite Chris Golightly has not been included in the final list of Top 12 boys. He was obviously replaced by Tim Urban, whose footage was just inserted in the last video clip. What's up with that?

We are quite suspicious that it was Chris Golightly who was disqualified and not Big Mike Lynch. Chris Golightly has a video making it to the Top 24 finalists who made it the Hollywood round but he was cut unknowingly (He was in the picture while Ryan Seacrest was making a spiel about the Top 24!). We're still digging the real score about this American Idol 9 Official Top 24 discrepancy. Other than that, we're quite confident about the ones who made it. Cheerio!

UPDATE: Here's the deal with Chris Golightly Disqualified issue:

Ryan Seacrest even confirmed it via a Tweet that it was: "determined that Chris Golightly is ineligible to continue on IDOL, contestant Tim Urban has replaced Golightly as part of the Top 24". Yet, there's still a cloud of mystery behind the disqualification Ryan is not sure about the cause: "must have broken a rule or maybe had previous deal"

However, it was Samantha Mula (Season 9 contestant who was cut) who further enlightened about Chris Golightly's case. In her message, she informed that: "Just got off the phone with Chris GoLightly. He was disqualified yesterday, after already being told he was in the top 24, over some bogus old contract. The contract expired, but they disqualified him for not telling them. He is talking to lawyers, but doubt they can do anything."

Whoa! American Idol has some favoritism going on there with the rules? They let Michael "Big Mike" Lynch go on with the Top 24 slot even though he broke the confidentiality rule, while Chris was not allowed to move on because of the expired contract he did not declare with Idol beforehand. Sucks to be him, eh?
