American Idol Prediction May 6 2009 (05/06/09) - Who Will Be Voted Off?

American Idol is slopping off another finalist this week bringing down the number to the Final 3. After my two week hiatus, I am finally back in the game to determine who will be kicked off/eliminated in the Rock and Roll night. Last week was nerve-wracking for Adam Lambert fans, but this week he came out with a vengeance. The seemingly "invincible" Danny Gokey will definitely feel what it's like to be Bottom 3 tonight after that horrible, horrible, horrible (Did I say horrible?) last part of his rendition of Aerosmith's "Dream On".

Dial Idol predictions reveal that it's either Allison Iraheta or Kris Allen who will go home tonight. Yet, based on last night's performance, it is really Danny Gokey who nailed it baaad! That only proves the point that he's no Adam Lambert when it comes to shrieking high notes. Oh well, it's anybody's game so gird your loins for surprises. Daughtry and No Doubt Perform on American Idol May 6 Rock Week Results Night

No Doubt and Daughtry will be on American Idol stage May 6 2009 (5/6/09). Being one of the most successful non-winning American Idol after Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry will be gracing the show again singing their new single "No Surprise". On the other hand, No Doubt will be probably promoting their tour which will kick off May 16. Gwen Stefani and her posse performed "Just A Girl". American Idol judge Paula Abdul will also be seen strutting her stuff on the stage with her new single  “I’m Just Here for the Music”.

American Idol May 6 Results - Who Was Voted Off/Eliminated in Rock Week?

American Idol Rock Week defined Danny Gokey's waterloo over Adam Lambert. We'll definitely see him waddle in Bottom 3 on May 6 (05/06/09). However, American Idol pundits proclaim that it is Kris Allen who will be kicked out/booted off tonight. We'll see that later tonight!

The results show has started. Ryan does his blah – announcing that 64 million votes were cast last night. The new Ford Fusion commercial is shown featuring the American Idol Season 8 Top 4.

 

The Idol group performance featured their mentor Slash as they sang “School’s Out” by Alice Cooper.

 

Ryan interviews the Top 4. Adam liked his outfit last night, while Danny admitted that he laughed out loud when he heard his last note scream last night. At least, Danny admitted his shortcoming.

Paula Abdul is on stage to perform a pre-taped “I’m Just Here for the Music”. Seems like you’re transported back to the late 80s. She sounded the same. (Watch Paula Abdul's  May 6 performance video on Idol here)

 

No Doubt is up next. They performed “Just a Girl”. I thought they would be dishing out a newer song. Wait! my mom has that same neon green brassiere. Anyways. (Watch No Doubt in American Idol video here)

 

Ryan announced that the American Idol Top 3 will be called in random. Oh my! Kris Allen is not going home – he is first to be sitting in the American Idol Top 3 seats.

 

Chris Daughtry is in the Idol stage again to sing their latest single “No Surprise”. His videos of prior stint in American Idol was shown. The look on his face being eliminated was priceless. I mean it who wasn’t surprised back then? It was one of the most horrible shockers on American Idol, after Danny’s last note “scream” last night. Kidding! No regrets, Chris! You’re even more successful than the American Idol who won – Taylor Hicks! (Watch Daughtry on American Idol video here).

 

Adam Lambert is the next one to fill in the Top 3 seat. Who will be safe – Allison or Danny? Danny is safe after all.

Shaun Smith and Flawless Enter Britain's Got Talent Finals

Joining Susan Boyle and Diversity, 17 year old crooner from Lichfield Shaun Smith, was chosen over a 28 year old impersonator (a ventriloquist, actually) Gareth Oliver who's from Halifax. Previously, another dance group Flawless made the cut to qualify for the Britain's Got Talent (BGT) Finals slated on May 30 (this Saturday) after garnering the most votes among the eight performers in BGT Semifinals Show May 25.

It can be remembered that Shaun Smith sang "Ain't No Sunshine" for his audition, which gained BGT judge Simon Cowell's praise. This was reminiscent of Kris Allen's performance who eventually won American Idol 2009. Will Shaun Smith have the same fate on BGT? Well, Shaun performed a goosebump-inducing rendition of U2's "With or Without You" last night. Below is Shaun Smith's "With or Without You" Britain's Got Talent May 25 performance video:
