Piolo Pascual and the Pop Icons: All Single

There's no denying that Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, Erik Santos, Christian Bautista and Mark Bautista are five of the most successful male solo recording artists of our time. That's why seeing them all together for the first time in a series of concerts is a great spectacle for all their fans.

Produced by ASAP Live and Sunday Night Productions, the POP ICONS concerts will kick off in Dagupan on February 13, Cebu on February 14, Araneta Coliseum on February 21 and the last one will be in Bacolod on February 28. It was said that the concert was conceptualized when the five singing heartthrobs developed a bond through their cell group meetings every Sunday night in the Victory fellowship. Indeed, with the help of ASAP Productions, they were able to make this dream into reality for all of their fans.

What's more interesting to note is that, as of press time, all of these good-looking men are the most sought after bachelors. Meaning all of them are single. That gives credence to the saying that "Hindi lahat ng guwapo may girlfriend, minsan may boyfriend din" (Not all good-looking guys have girlfriends, sometimes they boyfriends). One rude comment I've read somewhere is that only Mark Bautista is the "straight guy" in the group. Well, so much for the rumors...

Here's the Top Five Songs they should not sing for their production numbers:

5. Y.M.C.A. (Can't imagine them dressed up like the Village People)
4. Lady Marmalade (Hey Sister, Go Sister, Soul Sister, Go Sister...)
3. This Guy's In Love With you Pare ('nuff said... Bading na bading sa'yo!)
2. Alin, alin, alin ang naiba... Isipin kung alin ang naiba! (Si Mark lang nga!

And the top song they should never sing as their production number is:

1. Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) by Beyonce

Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion Dated Already

As one of the most bankable leading men in Philippine showbiz, the perennial bachelor Piolo Pascual can certainly snatch any date. And this time he admitted that he dated no less than KC Concepcion.

Hmmm... Is this just another promotional stunt for their upcoming teleserye Lovers in Paris? In an interview, Piolo revealed that "Yes, we go out... You know, even before she left Paris, I expressed my intentions already."

Whether it is a statement to thrill the fans about their upcoming team up or a proof to thwart the rumors that he's gay, the rumor-mongers could not help but raise their eyebrows on this one.

In this regard, let's have the Top Five rudest comments about Piolo's "dating" declarations with KC:

5. Ay.. Lesbiana na pala sya ngayon?
4. KC Concepcion? Baka naman si KC Montero yan.. Or worse, yung KC and Jojo!
3. Magtiyuhin? At ano ang gusto niyang itawag ni KC sa kanya? Tita?
2. May "intentions" daw sya? Baka intensyon yun para kulutan nya si KC!

And the Rudest Comment about Piolo's "dating" declarations with KC is....

1. Echuserang bading! Ang sabihin niya type niya si KC kasi kamukha niya ang tatay nyang si Gabby!

By the way, Piolo is in the cover of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Philippines. It features him with Angel Locsin.

Sexy Piolo in "Land Down Under"

Although the movie has no definite playdate yet, the promos for the Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual starrer "Land Down Under" has been going on since August this year.

The press has been making it a fuss of whether Angel or Piolo had a dangerous experience doing horseback-riding scenes for the movie in Bukidnon. Anyway, the movie has not finished its shooting yet -- they still have ten more days to shoot in Australia in the coming days. The movie is produced by Star Cinema and is being directed by Rory Quintos.

In a recent interview, Piolo assured the press that there will be steamy love scenes. Although the film will not be too crassly sleazy knowing Star Cinema's standards, Piolo quipped that his role in the movie is his most daring yet. Of course, the yada-yada of their difficulties in the film shooting are still the meat of discussion. Like he went to train for horseback-riding under Vic Barba and actress-equestrienne Mikee Cojuangco, hello? Spare us the whining because that's the reason you're overpaid so you could bring justice to the role.

So this will be your sexiest role yet huh? Well, let's give Piolo the top five things he should never say when doing love scenes with Angel Locsin for this movie...

5.) Alam mo, kasingtaba mo na si Juday dati... Yung di pa sya nafi-Fitrum.

4.) Naku, day.. Mas magaling pa makigpaghalikan si Erik Santos sa'yo...

3.) YUL lick me here, YUL lick me there...

2.) (Breaks into a song) "You are so beautiful girl... Kaya pa-relax ka lang. Dito na sa Speed babad, Speed babad. Worry mo ay oveeeeer!"

And the top thing that Piolo should not say when doing a love scene for this movie is.....

1.) (Taking cue from Kirsten Dunst in the movie "Interview with the Vampire")

I want SAM more...

Luis and John Lloyd To Star in a Gay Movie

It's confirmed! Luis Manzano gave his nod in portraying his first gay role in a movie starring his mom, Vilma Santos and John Lloyd Cruz.

Well, it's about time that Star Cinema will dish out something new on its roster of quality movies. Instead of producing such shameful film titles before like Tong Tatlong Tatay Kong Pakitong-Kitong (My Three Fathers Who.. I don't know how to translate that!) and Haba Baba Doo! Puti Puti Poo! (Long Chin Doo! White White Poo! --?), Star Cinema is about to produce a much-awaited film comeback of Governor Vilma Santos, which incidentally has a dominant gay theme. Star Cinema has always been too safe in the past years because perennially aims at earning big-time at the tills, with most of its movies ranging from heavy drama to romantic-comedy.

Anyway, the movie is to be directed by Olivia Lamasan, so one can expect it to be beyond good. With both actors portraying their first gay roles, the scenes will definitely be something to look out for because it will challenge both actors' feminine side. Publicity feeds say that the film will not only show a gay kissing scene, but also a love scene. The movie will start shooting in February next year, where some scenes will be shot in New York.

The movie has no title yet. So, I'm giving out the top five worst possible movie titles for this Vilma-Luis-John Lloyd starrer:

5. Lloydie and Lucky... Happy Together!
4. Sister Stella L. and the Sisterettes
3. Broken Marriage Meets Brokeback Mountain
2. Darna at Bading

And the worst possible movie title for this Vilma-Luis-John Lloyd starrer is...

1. Bata, bata... Paano ka naging bakla?
Translation: Child, child... how did you become gay? (Duh! How do you expect me to translate that in English? The English title of "Bata, Bata... Paano Ka
Ginawa" was simply "Lea's Story")

Gretchen's in the News Again!

Taking a much-needed breather over the gayer stuff here, let's talk about Gretchen Barretto's recent foyer at the news headlines again.

No, it's got nothing to do with her scandalous statements, bitchy cat fights with former friends or  another smoochy-coochy with a guy other than Tonyboy. Surprisingly, Gretchen will be hosting a fabulous new game show titled "You and Me Against the World" in TV5 (that shake, shake whatever channel). Well, drop the fabulous... because the concept was obviously ripped-off from ABS-CBN's now defunct show "1 vs. 100".

To gather up a good momentum for their pilot episode, the contestants would be Lucy Torres and guess who.. John Estrada!

Let's see if Gretchen can upstage Kris Aquino's tactlessness and maybe she will regain her stature in showbiz again. Although she proudly proclaims that she does not need money to work because she's rich, I think she direly needs to update her filmography to become a more respectable list. Oh what is her most memorable movie yet? "Matakot Ka Sa Karma" (Be Afraid of Karma)? "Tukso Layuan Mo Ako" (Temptation, Get Away From Me)? "Lihim ng Golden Buddha" (The Secret of You-Know-What, where the tacky theme song of the same title was sung by Mariz)? Enough said.

Anyway, here are the top five things you should not say in front of Gretchen Barreto:

5.) You and your daughter, Dominique, are like twins!
4.) Who's the better kisser - John Estrada, Dody Puno or Tonyboy Cojuangco?
3.) How much did you spend to make you look like that, at your age?
2.) Dawn, Nadia and Lani said that you're a woman with loose morals... Joke!

And top answer for the things you should not say in front of Gretchen Barreto is...

1.) [Taking cue from Claudine's "Iisa Pa Lamang" (Only One)]
You're just a gold-digger... with a flower! (See pic above)
