Randy Jackson Positive that Simon Cowell Will Return on American Idol

Despite the shocking announcement of Simon Cowell leaving American Idol next season, the other original AI judge Randy Jackson thinks that Simon may return to their hit show in time. Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol to launch a US version of another talent show X-Factor.

In an interview with the Regis and Kelly Show, Randy Jackson revealed that Simon might change his mind of leaving AI permanently: “I think he’s going to do Season 9, have so much fun, he’s going to look across the desk and say, ‘Dog, I’ve got to do it again. I’m coming back... Maybe he’ll come back. Who knows?" Randy may be right, in show business, nothing is permanent and comebacks can get things more exciting for a show that's lagging on the ratings game.

American Idol May 12 Song Spoilers - American Idol 5/12/09 Final 3 Songs

American Idol Top 3 May 12 (5/12/09) performance night is a few hours from now and everybody's eager to know what 2 songs will Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey will be dishing out in the American Idol Final 3 Face-Off. Tonight American Idol May 12 theme, Kris, Danny and Adam will each be singing one song chosen by the judges for them and one choice is their personal pick. With time constraints in their hands given the homecoming tours and all, the American Idol Final 3 might just opt for a song that they've already performed before to save time for rehearsals.

A great song for Adam to perform again would be Tears for Fears "Mad World", which earned him a standing ovation from no less than Simon Cowell. For Kris, I guess a good performance he might want to duplicate was his "She Works Hard for the Money". Lastly, I could not remember anything better than Danny Gokey's version of Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance". As for the judge's choice for them, some reports have said that Adam Lambert is singing a song chosen for him by Simon Cowell, while Danny Gokey is singing a song chosen for him by Paula Abdul. These reports have yet to be confirmed.

Adam Lambert is a Homecoming Hit in San Diego

American Idol finalist Adam Lambert proved to be a homecoming hit in San Diego! Legions of fans flocked to see him do his promotional American Idol homecoming gig last May 8 in San Diego where he grew up. First, Adam visited a local morning show, attended a local radio station 94.1 for his interview and then he did a parade all the way to his old high school (Mount Carmel High School) where more than 6,000 adoring fans are eager to show him their support. Too much support really because a female fan even scurried towards Adam wearing only her bra. This happened after Adam Lambert rendered his version of "Mad World". Hometown support for the 27 year old American Idol Season 8 Top 3 finalist was even endorsed by the Mayor Jerry Sanders himself, who declared May 8 to be Adam Lambert Day in San Diego. Adam also graced a local TV morning show in Fox 5 San Diego where he was interviewed by Arthel Neville, Raoul Martinez and Chrissy Russo. Entertainment Weekly Names Adam Lambert as the "Most Exciting American Idol Contestant in Years"

American Idol fever is starting to heat up as the Finale Performance Night is due on May 19 2009. Entertainment Weekly is surely putting their bets on Adam Lambert to make it there as he is featured on EW's cover in its May 11 issue. They proclaim that Adam is the "most exciting American Idol contestant in years".

Aside from Adam Lambert's "exciting" talent, EW is insisting on making a big deal about Adam Lambert's "ambiguous" preference. Although Adam neither confirmed nor deny the reports, pictures and assumptions run wild that he is indeed gay. Adam has only this to say: “I know who I am. I’m an honest guy, and I’m just going to keep singing.” EW asked "whether an openly gay contestant can win American Idol?" Well, EW itself admitted that he's the most exciting contestant this season, who will ever vote for boring people? American Idol should always be all about singing talent, not for sexualities or sob stories.

Matt Giraud April 21 "Staying Alive" - American Idol Giraud 4-21 Video

After being saved last week, Matt Giraud tries to redeem himself by singing a Bee Gees original "Staying Alive" as his American Idol April 21 (4/21) Disco Performance. Randy obviously did not like the song choice or arrangement at all, but he praised Matt's singing prowess. Kara thinks Matt brought Disco back, while Paula was happy they made Matt stay last week. Simon was not happy with Matt this week as he did not like the performance and it was not original while it came across as a "desperate" performance to hold him in the competition.

Anoop Desai April 21 "Dim All the Lights" - American Idol Anoop Desai 04-21 Video

Anoop Desai wrapped up the American Idol April 21 (4/21) Disco Night with Donna Summer's "Dim All the Lights". Randy thought the performance was a bit rough -- but it was nice and it could be a song you could hear on the radio. Paula stated that Anoop looked fantastic in his new look, but Simon lashed out that the performance was "mediocre at best -- a worst performance by a mile". Ouch!

American Idol Disco Night 4/21/2009 - Who Will Reign Supreme?

After Matt Giraud was saved by the judges, the American Idol disco week is bound to emit tension among the among the American Idol Top 7 because two of them is due to be booted off. So there wouldn't be any Top 6 because next week you'll only see American Idol Top 5 finalists. Who will be the two unfortunate finalists who will be axed? American Idol predictions suggest that Matt Giraud, Anoop Desai or Lil Rounds will be in jeopardy if they still don't come up with a spectacular performance!

Definitely, the American Idol April 21 disco theme would suit well with Adam Lambert's repertoire. What fireworks would he come up with tonight?Adam Lambert has the pipes to do some Bee Gees hits. At this point, every contestant's song choice would be enough to help them stay in competition. Sanjaya Malakar is Back in "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here"

Guess who's back to hog your reality TV screens! It's Sanjaya Malakar who just signed up for the reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. The former American Idol finalist joins the reality show as a contestant together with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of “The Hills” and former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. This should be interesting!

The reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here will be on air early June 2009 where contestants will be marooned to the jungles of Costa Rica where they will compete with each other for four weeks. Other celebrities who will also be in the show are Geraldo Rivera and Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman.

Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson Will Give Susan Boyle's First Kiss?

Susan Boyle definitely got the world's attention that American Idol now wants to bring her to the show! Most of all, Susan would seem be getting her first kiss from none other than American Idol judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson! Although Simon Cowell already stated that in a USA Today article that "No, I will not be the first person to kiss her." Randy Jackson has a different plan: “I think Simon and I should do a dual kiss on each cheek on Susan Boyle. I'll fly to London with him. We will sit right beside her and kiss her at the same time. We'll do a countdown to the kiss."

The idea of bringing Susan Boyle to America was first cracked by Ryan Seacrest on his Twitter account. Ryan said he'll be pitching the idea to the producers of bringing Susan to American Idol as a musical guest. Will the 47 year old never-been-kissed spinster get her fervent wish of getting kissed? Well, we will all be excited to see that Randy Jackson idea when she comes visit American Idol show anytime soon!

Ryan Seacrest Girlfriend Jasmine Waltz

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest may put a stop the gay rumors this time by being spotted with his girlfriend in tow. Yes that's right, Ryan's girlfriend is Jasmine Waltz who is a bartender-slash-aspiring actress from Los Angeles. The couple was seen taking a romantic getaway to Paris after he did his hosting job in his radio show "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" last week.

According to People website, the 34 year old American Idol host met Jasmine Waltz "during a night out at Guy's, a West Hollywood lounge". Previously working for other L.A. hotspots including Les Deux and Italian restaurant Bella, Jasmine and Ryan has "been together for a few months now". Now, Ryan's mom Connie should be rejoicing because it is her fervent wish that her son will have more time to date: "That would be wonderful for him and we'd stand a better chance for him to have a relationship." Oh well, good for you Ryan! You can have respite from now on to Simon Cowell's punch lines during the show!

American Idol April 15 Predictions - Who Will Be Voted Off in Top 7? Who Will be in the Bottom 3?

American Idol Top 7 finalists will be shaved off to Top 6 on April 15 2009 (04/15/09). Predictions of who the Bottom 3 are and who will be voted off/eliminated are already splattered over the headlines after the "Songs of the Cinema" theme last night. At this point of the competition, it seems Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey are the only ones who can sit pretty without fear of being booted out. Dial Idol American Idol predictions suggest that Allison Iraheta, Matt Giraud and Kris Allen will be pulled out for the Bottom 3, with Kris Allen being the one strongly predicted to go home on April 15 2009!

However, Kris Allen fans need not hyperventilate yet because I think the "rightful" Bottom 3 for the April 15 eliminations in American Idol are Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud and Anoop Desai or Kris Allen -- with Matt being the one who "really, really" faltered to the brim in his "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman" performance. Matt should be the one who should be sent packing his bags. Allison, on the other hand, did a superb job last night, but since her fan base is not huge -- she might be a shoo-in too for the Bottom 3. It’s anybody’s game at this point, right? So we all need to bid good luck to all our favorites and just pray they will be saved by the judges when they will be booted out! By the way, the judges are too finicky about their “save” privilege that it seems they don’t even want to give it at all!

American Idol April 14 Performances - Song Spoilers from the "Songs of the Cinema" Theme

American Idol Top 7 finalists have chosen their songs for tonight April 14 2009! The Songs of the Cinema theme seemed to be working for some, I believe. Here's the list of songs they will be singing

American Idol 4/14 - Who Will Rise Above in the "Songs of the Cinema" Theme?

American Idol Performance Night is again in the offing April 14 (04/14/09)! Like you, I am wondering what song choices might the A.I. Top 7 finalists are selecting under the theme "Songs of the Cinema" with the critically-acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino as their mentor.

Honestly, tonight's theme can be quite tricky for the American Idol Top 7 finalists because their favorite movie's theme song might not just be the right choice for them. I guess Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai should be doubling their efforts this week because obviously they didn't fare well last week as they landed in the Bottom 3! I would really like to see Anoop take on some vocally challenging song that will highlight his capability -- Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" might fit him. Lil Rounds failed in her Tina Turner mimicry last week, I guess Lil might want to do a Barbra Streisand or Whitney Houston - I dunno because I think she's losing her sparkle as the American Idol Season 8 advances. So there, who might do well or who might seal their fate in the American Idol Top 7 Performances April 14? It's for us to find out tonight!

American Idol Top 7 Says Good Riddance to Scott MacIntyre

American Idol Top 8 Results for April 8 2009 - Anoop Desai, Scott MacIntyre and Lil Rounds are in danger on the Bottom 3! Lil Rounds was declared safe and so as Anoop Desai! Scott MacIntyre sang Survivor’s “The Search is Over” , which was described by Paula Abdul as “screechy”, while Simon said he is atrocious with the guitar and the song choice!

It's so sad to see you go Scott! But the show needs to let go a contestant - which was supposed to be Lil Rounds! 

It was a CLOSE CALL of getting the judges' save privilege but it was just wasn't meant for you.

Oh well, I hope life goes on for you and you pursue your career in singing.

Matt Giraud "Part Time Lover" April 7 2009 American Idol Top 8

Matt Giraud got us a bluesy Stevie Wonder original "Part-Time Lover" in the American Idol Top 8 4/7/09 performance night. Although the comments for Matt Giraud from the judges were rushed, all of them were agreeing i unison that Matt performed well -- even Simon was pleased as he said "“A million times better than last week, well done.”

Matt Giraud and Anoop Desai will seem to have a battle for a spot later in the competition. Both of them have the same singing style. Here is Matt Giraud's Part-Time Lover April 7 Video:
