Triangle UFO Sighted in Moscow

Russians are baffled over this strange triangular object that hovered in the skies of Moscow. Youtube videos of the said triangle UFO had been uploaded -- one taken from day and the other at night. You can see the triangular UFO appearing motionless over Kremlin, one of Moscow's important landmarks.

The triangular UFO was seen by hundreds of people who were at the Red Square. However, naysayers believe that the triangular object was an inadvertent reflection of the cameraman's car window. Below is the video of the said triangular UFO in Moscow:

Yep, the government in Terengganu, Malaysia is offering a three-day honeymoon getaway that costs $440. This is to motivate couples  to solve their marital problems amicably without considering divorce. This free honeymoon package also includes marital counseling to be able to deter the rising divorce rates in the country.

The Terengganu Welfare Community Development and Women Affairs committee tapped an initial 25 couples to receive their free honeymoon package. Divorce is frowned upon in Malaysia as it is a predominantly Muslim country.

Anjana Chimp - The Monkey Who Mothered a Puma Cub (Photos)

Anjana Chimp is a chimpanzee who unrequitedly acted as the surrogate mother of a puma cub in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Look how cute they are in the picture! The baby puma's name is Sierra, who's only 9 weeks old and definitely needs motherly love and care. Workers at the Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species Preserve are greatly fascinated at how Anjana the Chimp would feed Sierra milk through a milk bottle and clutch her while taking a walk.

This is not the first time that the 5 year old Anjana acted this way with an orphaned cat. Last year, Anjana Chimp has helped raised two tiger cubs named Mitra and Shiva. The web offers you just about anything and now it can even make you talk with loved ones who are already on the "other side"! Now, that he's dead - weird wives float everywhere! The Los Angeles County Superior Court received a petition from a woman named Nona Paris Lola Ankhesenamun Jackson. A resident of London, Nona Paris Lola claims that she is the legal wife of the King of Pop and demanded that "all my husband's properties, monies and assets must be transferred to me immediately". Also, the woman wants that her "husband's body must be returned to the coroner's body [sic] or the mortuary immediately."

Continental Sues Nine Pilots for Allegedly Faking Divorces

There's an unverified news report going around the Internet saying that Continental Airlines is suing nine pilots for allegedly faking divorces. According to Car Rentals (carrentals.co.uk), these nine Continental pilots faked their divorces so that "their ex-spouses can collect retirement benefits - while pilots continue to fly". According to the source, Continental have obtained proof of the scam when their children and friends have revealed that these pilots "re-married" their spouses in order to receive payouts from the airline carrier.

The news report also unveiled that eight of the nine pilots involved in this "divorce scam" have either quit or fired from their jobs, while the other one had promised to pay the airline back. Continental had already filed a suit against them in Houston's federal district last week. The beleaguered airline is seeking help from the courts to bring back all the money they have turned over to the ex-spouses. Continental sues the nine pilots after they took advantage of a loophole in the federal law that "allows payment of benefits in divorce actions, before the worker actually retires." Among the nine pilots, seven of them were male and two were female.

Heart-Shaped Watermelons Cost $160 in Japan

Heart-shaped watermelons are now a hit novelty items in Japan. A farmer from Kumamoto Japan has spent three years to perfect this unusually-shaped watermelons in his farm. Maybe they got bored with the square-shaped and pyramid-shaped watermelons they already had in Japan, that's why Hiroichi Kimura and his wife had come up with this heart-shaped watermelons.

According to Japan Probe, there's only about 20 of these watermelons and they cost 15,750 yen ($160)each. A heart-shaped watermelon may just be a great gift for your vegetarian or fruitarian girlfriend on Valentine's Day. Other than that, I don't seem to see any point buying a $160 worth of fruit you can gobble up, when there's those $1 regular round watermelons you can buy anywhere.

World's Oldest Dog is a Dachshund Named Chanel

Chanel turns 21 today. She may look like an ordinary white dachshund but Chanel was named the world's oldest dog by the Guinness World Records last year. According to her Long Island owner Denice Shaughnessy who's a high school principal, Chanel was originally colored red but due to age she turned white. In canine years, Chanel is now officially 147 years old.

Upon reaching this ancient age, Chanel is required to wear a specially-designed goggles to protect her eyes stricken by cataracts. Her ambient temperature is also maintained at 72 degrees because Chanel can no longer endure the cold. Her diet? It usually consists of chicken with whole-wheat pasta, with a special soft dog food designed appropriately for her withered teeth. Chanel earned the title as the world's oldest dog after Bella, a beagle from Virginia, did not make it past 26 years old (203 in canine years). Shiba Inu Puppy Taped to Fridge by Angry Girlfriend Abby Toll

Abby Toll, 20 years old, of Boulder Colorado is now in hot water as she is facing animal cruelty charges as she taped her boyfriend's Shiba Inu dog to the side of his refrigerator. The name of the dog is Rex who's two years old and Shiba Inu is a Japanese type of dog breed. Rex was found wrapped in packaging tape upside down as Abby Toll transferred her ire to the dog after her boyfriend Bryan Beck, 21, refused to get rid of it.

 

The Shiba Inu dog is now on the custody of Boulder’s Animal Care and Control Department after Beck signed him in there because he's also facing suspicion of animal cruelty misdemeanor. Aside from being slapped with her inappropriate treatment to Rex the Shiba Inu puppy, Abby Toll is facing other grave charges. Snakes on the Plane - Pythons in Qantas Flight to Melbourne

"Snakes on the Plane" might be an outrageous movie title, but on Tuesday April 14 there were really snakes on the plane in the Australian airliner Qantas flight to Melbourne! Twelve baby Stimson's pythons were being transported inside the cargo hold on a Boeing 737-800 flight from Alice Springs to Melbourne. Qantas spokesperson Sophia Connelly informed that out of the twelve non-venomous Stimson's pythons, four escaped. These pythons "measuring around 15 centimetres long were being transported as live airfreight in a calico, styrofoam bag with air holes”.

Qantas discovered the four missing Stimson's python when they were "unloading the package AAE (Australian Air Express)". Qantas then asked if these pythons were endangered and they were told that these were not, so the airline company instructed its staff to fumigate the whole plane. Duggar Family - Another Duggar Coming Up for the Family in "18 Kids and Counting"

The Duggar family made headlines as they starred in a reality TV show "18 Kids and Counting" on TLC. Now, a 19th new family member is going to be welcomed in a few months as the eldest son, Joshua who's 21 years old and his wife Anna are expecting a baby of their own. Joshua Duggar was ebullient over this great news as he beamed in PEOPLE interview that he's very "excited" to learn "new ways every day" of how he can be there for his wife. Joshua Duggar, who married Anna in September 2008, also said that, "I thought that she would be the only one going through the emotions of pregnancy, but I'm right there with her."

As the heads of the Duggar family, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are also thrilled about this new prospect. Jim Bob said that "We are really excited about being grandparents. We think it is really going to be easier than being parents." Joshua's wife Anna had been given a crash course by Michelle as she told her "to eat small meals frequently during the day to get through the morning sickness". British biologist Jeremy Wade first made a TV documentary of the Goonch catfish after a 17 year old Nepalese boy was bitten off by this monster fish as he took a dip in the river to cool himself due to extreme heat. With the scientific name of Bagarius yarelli, the British biologist found that the Goonch catfish can grow in weight from an average of 100 pounds up to 250 pounds.

Polar Bear Bites Woman in German Zoo (Video)

What do you get when you are in a cage full of polar bears during their feeding time? In Germany, an unnamed 32 year old woman jumped over the bar enclosure of the pool with four adult polar bears in Berlin zoo. Naturally, the woman was mauled - she was bitten several times in her arms and legs! See video after the jump.

Lucky for her, the woman was saved by the zoo staff by distracting the animals -- her reason for jumping off the polar bear enclosure was not yet confirmed, but according to Daily Mail UK the woman was "initially elated as she swam towards a bear in the enclosure". The woman is now at the hospital seeking treatment after incident.

Megamouth Shark - Rare Megamouth Shark Eaten in the Philippines

Megamouth sharks (Megachasma pelagios) are one of the rarest fish species in which only 40 of them have been encountered around the world. Unwittingly, a unnamed fisherman from the Burias Islands, Philippines caught a megamouth shark on March 30 and he ate it like it was a local delicacy. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) dissuaded the fisherman after they saw the megamouth shark served in a platter. WWF took pictures of the shark and labeled it "Megamouth 41".

Megamouth sharks are just one of the three sharks that are filter feeders -- meaning they feed on particles that are suspended in water. This means that these megamouth sharks are harmless and it is quite sad that an uninformed fisherman had not realized the implication of eating a nearly extinct animal. Oh well, we hope Philippine authorities should protect these megamouth sharks because they are only found in California, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Brazil, Ecuador, Senegal, South Africa, Mexico and Australia. Cosmic Giant ‘Hand’ Formed from Pulsar in Outer Space

Below is a weird image from a pulsar that taken by the NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory. In case if you're wondering what a pulsar is, it is actually a dying star that produces a lot of light causing it to emanate "ghostly images" from afar. In Yahoo News!, they reported that "nebula around PSR B1509-58 have been colored blue to reveal a structure resembling a hand reaching for some eternal red cosmic light". PSR B1509-58 is the name of the pulsar, while the nebula is the the cloudy thingy you see forming a hand. You get the drift? I got an A in General Science in High School so you better believe that I know what I'm saying!

Upon seeing the image, it kind of freaked me out. Anyway, it's just a dying star whose explosion incidentally formed a cosmic hand reaching for a red light. What's going on there, we do not know. But I guess PSR B1509-58 will surely be missed by NASA astronomers because it is now running out of fuel. Gosh, when would our Sun die out like that?

Urinating Dog Sparked Richard Poplawski Stand-Off in Pittsburgh

After the Pittsburgh scuffle involving Richard Poplawski and three officers shot out of their lives, it turned out that the trouble was triggered when Richard Poplawski's mom Margaret confronted him about his dog peeing (urinating) on the floor. When Richard refused to acknoweldge Margaret Poplawski's complaint, she called on 911 because her son was "giving her a hard time." When the police were coming, she and Richard were arguing over the dog that just urinated, while Margaret informed 22 year old Richard Polawski that the police were coming to remove him from her home. As officers Stephen Mayhle and Paul Sciullo III entered their home, Richard fired up his rifle towards the police officers. Another officer Eric Kelly was also a fatality during the this Richard Poplawski standoff and at least three others were injured.

Margaret Poplawski informed that his son Richard owned some ammunition because he was enlisted as a Marine Corps a few years back. In a CNN report, it was revealed that Poplawski was "stockpiling guns and ammunition, buying and selling the weapons online because he believed that as a result of the economic collapse, the police were no longer able to protect society". Poplawski wore a bullet-proof vest and used hundreds of rounds armed with an AK-47 to aim at the police officers who came to respond to his mother's call. Wyatt McLaughlin - 13 Year Old Boy Drove 1,300 Miles from Virginia to Texas!

Wyatt E. McLaughlin is the 13 year old boy from Jetersville, Virginia who startled his parents as he was missing. It turned out Wyatt drove away with the family pickup and trailer with him, he was found safe 1,300 miles away in Weatherford, Texas twio days later. It is still uncertain why Wyatt E. McLaughlin ran away from home last April 1, but the investigators found that McLaughlin came out prepared for his "trip" as there were clothes, food and even his dog in the pickup, while he also took their 2 horses in the trailer!

Apparently, McLaughlin was found in the rodeo grounds in Weatherford Texas as he was monitored in a surveillance video in a gas station in Mount Pleasant, Texas. You can find more details about the Wyatt E. McLaughlin story in the Star Telegram website.

Texting Crash - Deborah Matis-Engle Gets 6 Years for Texting While Driving

Deborah Matis-Engle, a 49 year old woman from Shingletown, California, is now facing a six year sentence after the court in Redding, California found her guilty for driving-while-texting. Deborah Matis-Engle was speeding through 66 mph that plowed to a line of cars causing a terrible road mishap that eventually took away the life of Petra Monika Winn in August 13 2007.  It turned out that Mathis-Engle was texting using her cell phone to pay some bills.

According to the Redding website, authorities had proven she was texting after Matis-Engle surrendered her cell phone two days after the accident and based on the phone company records they investigated -- Deborah Matis-Engle was indeed texting when she crashed through those cars she damaged in the highway. The lawyer of this texting crash woman said they will file an appeal after the court decision.

Sea Worm Sasquatch - Giant Sea Worm Makes a Debut in British Aquarium

A sea worm that's 4 foot long can be enough to make anyone cringe! In Cornwall,Great Britain, Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium  has acquired a new creepy occupant -- a massive sea worm  they nicknamed as "Barry". This sea worm had allegedly injured some other fish species that it was moved to a separate aquarium. The Aquarium staff caught this sea worm after it devoured bait traps and mangled a 20-pound fishing line before the experts were able to capture it.

According to Daily Mail (UK), aquarium curators have also witnessed how this sea worm ravaged the coral reefs and injured other fish with its sting. In humans, the sting of this massive sea worm can give anyone a "permanent numbness". Wow, this polychaete worm can indeed give us anyone a scare more than a horror movie!
