Another Great Performance by Angel in MMK's "Blusa"

After winning last year's PMPC Star Awards Best Actress for TV in a Single Performance for Maalala Mo Kaya (MMK) "Pilat" episode, Angel Locsin once again proved that she can now sustain a consistently good acting performance. In MMK's episode last night entitled "Blusa", Angel played the role of poor girl who wished she can heave up her family from poverty. Although she graduated summa cum laude, Angel's character Nemie realized that she still cannot get a job easily. Things went awry until she became mentally ill. In this episode, Dimples Romana played the role as Nemia's sister. Another surprise is that AJ Dee is in this episode. If you can remember, AJ Dee has once been an "It" Boy in ABS-CBN as he was once a TV Idol. Now, it seems his career has been overtaken by his yummier younger brother Enchong.

Asa Yamashita: Teacher Knifed Out of Her Life(VIDEO)

Asa Yamashita was a soft-spoken English teacher from Waianae High School. As she was sitting on a bench eating saimin (Hawaiian noodle soup) outside the Ewa Town Center, Asa was brutally stabbed by a 25 year old unidentified shirtless Filipino man (UPDATE: He was not Filipino, the man was Samoan named Tittleman Fauatea) in broad daylight, in front of shocked on-lookers.

The suspect is now under custody by the Kapolei Police. This is a very unfortunate incident because Asa Yamashita seemed to be a good educator to her students. The police should be watchful enough about these random k1-llers who lurk and just stab anyone like that.

Charice has been declared to be sure-fire "one of the world's biggest talents" next year. His mentor David Foster proudly announced that in the recently held Oscar's After Party held at Mr Chow in Los Angeles. Drew Barrymore as Director of Third Twilight "Eclipse"

Hot news has been going around today that actress Drew Barrymore is eyeing on directing the third installment of the Twilight series entitled Eclipse. Drew has been consummated her directorial debut in the film Whip It! that starred Ellen Page. Now, news are hounding Drew that she is the choice to replace New Moon director Chris Weitz, who was also the replacement of the original Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke.

Unfortunately, nothing is confirmed yet since Drew had not yet commented regarding this buzz. New Moon will be shown November this year and the cast Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will reprise their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively. Big named stars like Hilary Duff and Dakota Fanning are said to be interested to join the New Moon cast. If Drew will accept the directorial job, Eclipse will be shown July 2010.

WOMAN MARRIED 23 TIMES - Addiction or Affection?

A woman married 23 times in Anderson, Indiana has been the subject of fascination in many tabloids. Linda Lou Taylor is now 68 years old and she holds the title of the most married woman in American history. Since she married Glynn "Scotty" Wolfe, she now goes by the name Linda Wolfe. Unfortunately for Linda and Scotty, both did not marry because they love each other. The marriage was more of a publicity in 1996 because Scotty himself is the most married man with 29 weddings under his belt. So what is this a contest?

Anyway, Linda was first married at age 16 in 1967 to George Scott and her shortest marriage was with Fred Chadwick, which lasted only 6 hours. American Idol Group 2 Results: Kris Allen is In!

As expected Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert gained their rightful spot in American Idol 8 Top 12. Another surprise is that Kris Allen (photo above) made it through pushing out early favorites like Jesse Langseth and Matt Giraud.

Kris Allen is from Arkansas and he's said to be multi-talented because he's a saxophonist, composer and educator. He performed Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" yesterday. Wasn't quite good though, which gives me the suspicion that Kris Allen got in in the basis of cuteness.

Barreleye Fish Baffles Scientists -- See Through Fish has Transparent Bones and All!

A newly discovered transparent fish species had been the toast of many marine biologists around the world. Dubbed as the barreleye fish, the whole trunk of this weird fish is see-through. Yep, seeing this fish is like looking through a glass ball because even the bones of this Californian Macropinna microstoma is composed of a transparent jelly-like structure. The "barreleye" term also comes from its unique ability of being able to see 360 degrees, since most of its skin, bones and scales are clearly transparent.

This news was first brought to attention by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute scientists who reported a breakthrough in their unraveling the 50-year old mysteries behind this see-through fish. They described the barreleye fish as neon green with "bulbous eyes inside their see-through heads can fully rotate - dispelling previous claims that their eyes were stuck in 'tunnel vision'". It also appears that the vision of this fish species is light-sensitive because they are bottom dwellers.

Scientists also report that with the rapid advancement of marine biology equipment, they will be slowly but surely unwrapping the secrets of our oceans. Let's just have to wait when will they finally find Atlantis!

Lisa Lavoie Arrested in West Virginia (Videos)

We've heard this news before, women teachers who got into inappropriate relationships with their young male students. Lisa Lavoie, a 24 year old first year teacher from Holyoke, Massachussets was caught in a hotel with her 15 year old lover who is her student at the Maurice A. Donahue Elementary School. Authorities are now scrambling to charge her with felony charges like child e-ntic-ement.

The boy, who remains unnamed because he is a victim here, had been enticed by Lisa Lavoie to elope with her in Morgantown, West Virginia. They disappeared since February 16 and the boy's parents became worried that Lavoie's capture was delayed. Anyway, Lavoie is now charged and these are the videos of this incident:

Jayla, the 9 Year Old Bride Fulfills Wish at Last

Living with only a few weeks remaining in her life because of her terminal illness, Jayla Cooper from Texas wanted to have her dream wedding before her last breath. Her family can only do so much for her that's why they prepared the wedding in one week. From the wedding banquet down to the gown, everything was perfect for the nine year old bride and his 7 year old groom Jose Griggs who exchanged "friendship vows" last Sunday.

For two long years, Jayla was stricken with leukemia that was beyond cure. The parents of the young groom and bride told Monika Diaz of WFAA-TV that both children are aware of the situation. Especially Briggs, who was informed by his parents that Jayla was going "to a better place" soon. Family and friends shared this momentous event with Jayla as she gushed how her groom looked "so cute" and how she loved him.

Donations for the wedding poured in for the 9 year old bride and this wedding is just a "symbolic...celebration of life and friendship".

Homeowners Bite Back Lenders: Produce the Note (Video)

With a lot of house foreclosures going on in the US, homeowners are left with no choice but to take these matters not sitting down but in court. Homeowners demand to produce the note in line with their belief that they were unjustly treated through unsatisfactory and surreptitious lending terms.

Many homeowners are decrying that lenders have extremely violated terms in the Truth in Lending Act and that they were made to sign in loans they could barely afford. Foreclosures in Chicago and Florida has been sending off people scared to lose their homes and now they are organizing themselves so that they could push lenders to "produce the note". Gmail Down - Gmail Goes Pfft in Some Areas

Everyone seems to be in panic as "gmail goes down", "gmail not working" and "gmail problems" search began to shoot up like hot rocks from a raging volcano. As you should know, Gmail has 25 million users around the globe and the report says that 33 percent of these subscribers are affected.

The problem started 9:30 AM GMT as the Gmail monitoring systems noted that "consumer and businesses accounts worldwide could not get access to their email". The Guardian UK had obtained a statement from a Gmail representative which says:

A number of users are having difficulty accessing Gmail and we're working to resolve the problem. We know how important Gmail is to users so we are taking this very seriously and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We encourage anyone having technical difficulties to visit the Gmail help centre at mail.google.com/support.

The estimated loss from this technical problem was said to amount at $50 per hour in productivity loss. So all in all, this glitch is costing as much as $415 million economic cost per hour. That's too much money! I guess Gmail should resolve this glitch as soon as they can. Luckily for me, my Gmail still works. I guess I do not belong the the 33% of those affected.

Since the hit TV series in ABS-CBN Pedro Penduko and Iisa Pa Lamang, Matt Evans has been less visible in the limelight nowadays. Although he will be paired up with Melissa Ricks again in Underage (an episode in "Your Song)" and appears regularly in a sitcom in ABC5 Everybody Hapi, it seems this young actor's career is going downhill.

Peril in the Lake - Deadly Oklahoma Octopus (Video)

We've heard of k1-]]er whales, sharks and piranhas, but violent octopuses (octopi?) are scary creatures we see in movies like James Bond. Yet, surprisingly, an alleged monstrous Oklahoma octopus is wreaking havoc against swimmers in Lake Tenkill3r and Lake Thunderbird. According to reports, a number of swimmers and boaters have been victimized by the enormous cephalopod.

As the video that was featured in Animal Planet's Lost Tapes, anyone will surely get the creeps when you see two girls in a boat, which is being knocked up by a giant octopus. Is this for real or is it just another prankster? Surely, the ancient legends from Native Americans who have encountered the Oklahoma octopus would be interested to qualify their claims. Just like the chupacabra, the Loch Ness and even the Bigfoot, every claim is just considered fictitious until a tangible and unquestionable evidence is produced. As for now, let us just watch the scary video of the Oklahoma octopus:

No one can deny that Enchong Dee is emerging to be one of ABS-CBN's future leading men material, along with Gerald Anderson. On the other hand, Victor Basa belongs to the hottest hunk group today -- The Coverboys. Amidst the sparkling careers of Enchong and Victor, itchy little tongues are wagging unfounded rumors about these two good-looking young men.

Use Sherm Stick and Be Whacked with a Codex Gigas

Two unusual terms are now rising in the search engines -- sherm stick and codex gigas. I'm no guru about these things and the curious yellow I am, I found a few interesting things I'm gonna share for your reading pleasure today.

A sherm stick turns out to be an ordinary cigarette dipped in "embalming fluid". No, not formaldehyde, but phencyclidine (PCP). PCP is slanged as "embalming fluid" by drug users because this drug promotes a feeling of numbness to its users. Just like feeling numb, so that explains "embalming fluid".

On the other hand, codex gigas is a very large book dubbed as the devil's bible. It is so large that two people are needed to lug it around. It is known as the devil's bible because the book recounts the experiences of the fallen angel, which is Lucifer or Satan. The book is rumored to be written by Herman the Recluse and it can be found in the Czech National Library. More of the codex gigas can be read here.

So there. I'm not promoting drug use or Satanism here, in fact I'm against these things. It is for the sake of information. As they say a little knowledge about sherm stick of codex gigas might be a dangerous thing!

Model-Actor Reveals Experience with Bebe Gandanghari

A little known model-actor named Alvin Fortuna is claiming a slightly distasteful experience with Rustom Padilla, who's now known as Bebe Gandanghari. Alvin recounted that he felt "napaglaruan" (played on) by then Rustom Padilla because Alvin was made to do daring scenes in a test shoot with Rustom as a director.

A PEP article revealed that Alvin was quite concerned about what will happen to those scenes since Rustom informed him that the project was "shelved". Alvin said,

"Actually, wala naman siyang ginawa. Professional naman siya. Bukod sa amin ni Malaya (his partner in the test shoot), may mga crew rin. Kaso, noong magkita kami, tinanong ko siya, sabi niya shelved daw. Ito yung bago pa siya pumasok sa PBB. Tapos ako, parang, "A, ganoon lang yun? Hindi na natuloy." Kasi, puwede rin siyang gawing personal file na lang. Although noong nagkita kami, sinabi ko rin sa kanya na baka lumabas yun. Sabi naman niya, hindi raw. Magdedemanda raw siya kapag may lumabas kaya nagtiwala naman ako sa kanya."

Ayon kay Alvin, tuwing nakikita niya si BB sa telebisyon ay naiisip rin niya ang test shoot na buong araw rin daw nilang ginawa. Hindi raw niya maiwasang mag-isip at kabahan. Sabi pa niya, "Puwede kasi siyang sex video. Yung ginawa kasi namin, parang sex comedy."

Kung sakali at magkita sila ni BB, will he ask him about his test shoot?

"Baka hindi na niya ako kilala," sabi ni Alvin. "Pero kung sakali, parang gusto ko rin makita yung test video na ginawa namin. Sinabi naman niya noon na kung gusto ko raw makita dati, pumunta na lang ako sa bahay.  Actually, mabait naman siya at saka professional."

Oh, okay. I thought something juicy is gonna come out of this interview but it seems Alvin is just riding on Bebe's prominent novelty these days. By the way, Alvin is managed by Lito de Guzman. Yes, the same manager as the Baywalk Bodies who are out of the circulation already.
